Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is known as the father of the nation. He was born on 17 March 1920 in a village Tungipara in the district if Faridpur. He was a strong man with challenging guts. He is considered the founding father of Bangladesh due to his painstaking efforts for his homeland. He is also known as Bangabandhu which means the friend of Bengal. He served his nation twice as a president. His daughter was the prime minister of Bangladesh his named Sheikh Hasina. He was extremely full of potential of leadership.

In 1946 he was elected as a general secretary of the college students union while studying in Islamia College. He was also the member of All India Muslim League. He was the leader of Awami League. He proclaimed 6 point plan title “Our Charter to Survive” at the national conference of the political parties. Soon after Mujibur Rahman was got arrested along with 34 Bengali Military officers and Indian Government Agents in a severe scheme to divide Pakistan into two parts and in order to threaten its unity, prosperity, national security and order. Then he returned after as a public nation hero.

During a landmark speech in 7th March 1971 he announced the struggle for independence. Under the parliament system Rahman became the first Prime Minister of the Bangladesh. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was got arrested at Tejgaon international airport on a PAF C-130 flight and taken to West Pakistan territory and kept under heavy and severe guard in a jail near Faisalabad.

After that within the short time period of 15 months the general elections were held on 7th March 1973. 140 countries recognized Bangladesh at that time. In spite of all these achievements the opposition considered the war of liberation and it ultimately created the most alarming and difficult situation in th country. Sheikh Mujib confronts the situation by creating a special security force called Rakshi Bahini. At the end the honorable and deserving person was died on 15th of August 1975 in the age of 55 years after the salute able efforts and struggles for the independence of Bangladesh.
